UTI Prevalence

The National Center for Health Statistics reports urinary tract infection (UTI) is the second most frequently treated infection, accounting for over 8 million visits to health care providers each year. Women are at greater risk for contracting a UTI. The American Urological Association and NIH estimate a woman’s lifetime risk for UTI is approximately 50%.

While new medical research is uncovering the possible health benefits of the nutrient rich cranberry for cardiovascular disease, dental, immune support and cancer, this fruit is most commonly known for its role in supporting urinary tract health.

Cran-Max Comparable and Effective for UTI Protection

A study published in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy found Cran-Max was comparable and effective in maintaining urinary tract health in older women compared to a commonly prescribed antibiotic.
In addition, Cran-Max had fewer adverse effects, particularly antimicrobial resistance, than those treated with the drug.

Cran-Max is the first dosage-confirmed (500 mg) cranberry product delivering relief with just one capsule
per day.

“Hidden” PACs In Cran-Max

A new test method for cranberry ingredients reveals “hidden” proanthocyanidins (PAC) in Cran-Max. The previous standard industry testing method didn’t detect these PACs as they were bound to the fiber of the patented Bio-Shield® delivery system.

“We applied new analytic methods to discover PACs bound to fiber and other cell wall components of cranberry,” said Alexis Collins, Director of Scientific Affairs for Pharmachem Laboratories, parent of Proprietary Nutritional, Inc. supplier of the ingredient. “These insoluble PACs, which are bioactive in the body, were previously undetectable by the DMAC test. It is an important finding for ‘whole cranberry’ products, and should give manufacturers more confidence in using them.”

Cran-Max is an exceptional concentrated form of cranberries; it contains the vital parts of the fruit, skin, seeds, pulp, juice and fiber. It’s the only cranberry concentrate made using the patented Bio-Shield technology delivering a high concentration of PACs, the active ingredient identified in whole cranberries preventing bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. Compared to cranberry juice, it’s less expensive, more convenient, and contains much less sugar and calories.

Cran-Max Clinical Studies

“Cran-Max has always shown strong clinical results,” says Collins. “Published human clinical studies show supplementing with Cran-Max is a cost-effective way to support urinary tract health without side effects.”
