Our glass suncatchers at Michael’s Gems and Glass are gorgeous by themselves as decorative accents. Known as the visual equivalent to wind chimes, the jewellike look of glass suncatchers is a beautiful addition for any home.
You can hang them anywhere to create the look you want for your window, porch or patio. Our suncatchers come in large and small sizes with lots of different colors and patterns to choose from. And for another option, you might want to check out these fused glass signs.
Feeling inspired? You can use glass suncatchers in different ways, too! Get creative and try something new this year with these cool ideas to use suncatchers.
1. Ornaments
It’s never too early to plan for Christmas gifts! These glass suncatchers make excellent ornaments. Simply tie them up at the top with strands of ribbon or twine, and you’re ready to go! Use seashells or beads with each strand for a personalized touch.
2. A Mobile
If you have several glass suncatchers on hand, you can use them to make a decorative mobile. Simply attach them to bars of metal, wood or plastic with clear nylon string. You can arrange them in different lengths and secure them. Hang your new mobile where it can catch the sunlight, near a window or in a sunroom.
3. Framed Art
Another way you can showcase your glass suncatchers is to arrange different colors together as art. Pick up clear plexiglass from your local home improvement store, and secure your suncatchers to it with glue. Then frame and hang it as you would any art. They’re beautiful on windows, bathroom mirrors, or any room in the house.
4. Glass Circle
You can also create a fun and unique glass circle. String a few small suncatchers inside a metal circle along with agate slices, beads, seashells, or anything else you have on hand. You can use fishing lines, nylon string, or rope for strength and style. Secure the pieces with knots and a hot glue gun. Finally, attach a loop of rope or a hook at the top to mount the circle with. The simple harp design is versatile indoors or outside and can be secured on a wire or the wall.
